Today's Friday Feature is a "montage" on getting organized in style! Enjoy! Of course you have to have a desk...this one is by NOIR and it is dreamy! Next comes the chair and this one is also by NOIR (you think I might like NOIR furniture?) . A lamp is a must, and the ERIN by Arteriors is really the perfect fit. A Timeworks clock would look great hanging on the wall above the desk...and the desk pad is from Mom Agenda and it is a snazzy little menu planner that has a perforated edge so you can tear off your "list" to make a quick run to the grocery store! Up next is a cool waste basket and matching tissue holder in a zebra print by Worlds Away - love it! Last but not least is a beautiful arrangement of fresh peonies - okay, so I can't send you fresh cut peonies from my garden bc I don't have one...but I can dream! Happy Friday! Email me at email@example.com with questions or to purchase!

Just wanted to say "please excuse the mess" over on my website...a bit of construction is underway in the Gallery (portfolio) , Blueprint (new mini BLUEPRINT coming soon) and the Boutique - hopefully all the changes will be complete by the end of the week! In the meantime...this is what I am thinking about today... I have a china cabinet, a Drexel, that I inherited from my grandfather's side of the family years ago-along with a buffet(in my entryway as a storage console) and a table with six shield back chairs...It is very similar to the one above except it has a 'bow' front - glass and all!!! It is a dark cherry, which is beautiful - but not my cup of tea! I would REALLY love to paint this baby and then paper the inside but I have so many people that gasp at the thought of painting an antique. So what do you think? Photo unknown

I dream about organization...somehow it always eludes me in my home office! Perhaps it is just the fact that I have outgrown the space...or that I cannot decide on a 'system'...how do you organize?

I wanted to thank everyone who has shown an interest in the Friday Feature items I have been posting over the last month! I love posting a good find and having so many people show an interest! Just a little note that beginning next week, it will be easier to purchase those items over on my website www.dhbdesignstudio.com in the new "shop the boutique" section. You will see the items featured (as well as other items I offer to my clients) that can be directly purchased on the sight. I will be busy over the weekend tweaking that and getting it up and running along with some changes to my portfolio and BLUEPRINT pages so please, please do check them out! Happy Thursday....oh, and I will reveal that sneak peek from earlier in the week tomorrow! :)
I have been in search of fresh, modern wallpapers for a client for some time now...and I have been a little disappointed in my findings until this morning...Upon checking my email, I found these beauties from KRAVET..... These are just a few from their new ECO line and I cannot wait to see what else they have come up with!

So, I typically wear little, to no makeup...not so much because I think I don't need it, but because I just don't know how to "put it on"....I am pretty clueless and for the most part, pretty neutral and plain (yeah, I know - strange for an interior designer). My mom is always telling me I need "a little color" so she convinced me to get a little "make over" at one of those places in the mall - I agreed only if we could do the Bobbi Brown counter because that is what my sister wears and her makeup always looks great!!! So I sat down for what seemed to be a LOOONNNGGG time to do just a "little" fix....and you know what - I actually like it!!! I wanted to emphasis my eyes, make them a little more bold, kindof smokey but for day time...and I wanted a nude, sheer lip because that is all I have been wearing since kids...sheer or tinted gloss because everything else just ends up a mess....
So this is what I came home with.......Nude 8 Lipgloss and 3 different matte shadows: Bone2, Slate16, and Espresso32 (which I use as a liner, just wet the brush before applying) These stay on ALL DAY...which is saying alot for someone who wears contact lenses!!!! And the gloss stays put too, with no stickiness!!! Here is a little inspiration from BOBBI BROWN....

Well as I type this my husband is pressure washing our back patio....just one of the last little details we needed to accomplish before putting our house on the market...yes, we are movin on up....although we don't really know where that "up" is yet... We have wrestled with this decision for over a year now, realizing long ago we have totally outgrown our 1,542 square feet of space and our tiny back yard! So we are going to be putting out our sign tomorrow, yikes, it's a bit scary because after all - this was our first home! If there are in buyers in the area, give me a shout out at email@example.com and I can email you photos and we can talk $$$....(sorry for not posting photos on here, just a bit too personal) Happy weekend!

The day has been a blur...about to watch a movie with my sweetie (waiting for my four year old to stop organizing her night stand and go to sleep) Here are some random shots I have stored on my hard drive, enjoy! (p.s. I am sorry for not knowing who, what, where, etc...of these pics - promise to research and give some credit :)
